The Family Chantel Episode S1:18

We took a trip to Vegas and happen to stumble across this show in our hotel room and we have been invested ever since. Before we get into what is really bothering us about this episode lets start with our opinions on the individuals on this show.

Chantel & Pedro: How did they meet again?!  Chantel is kinda like her mom because she wants her mom’s approval which is why she acts the way she acts. She impersonates her mom when she’s in front of her mom..ANNOYING. Pedro is confused AF, he is team Chantel until mom and sister come around it is a different story. But maybe that is because he was not shown how to be a husband.

Karen:  It seems that Karen raised her children in a way that where if she doesn’t approve then they are worthless to her and they feel worthless. She is a narcissist that raised narcissists. If she doesn’t talk faster OH MY GOSH imma fall asleep in between her sentence. Like what part of education is she working with because I feel stupid AF every time I hear her talk. I feel “stupider” her words not mine. That last time the last time which would be the first time. You just got lost didn't you? Now you know how I feel when she talks.

Thomas:  Always looks like "I'm just here so I don't get fined".

Winter: Just be you.

River: Creepy AF.

Nicole: Her voice is annoying. This was her opportunity to become famous by any means necessary.

Lidia: User!

Not judging, just stating our opinions…entitled to them.

Now for the episode……THIS SHIT RIGHT HERE!!!! As someone who has survived molestations and sexual abuse, of course it is my natural instinct (I want to highlight I'm saying MY as in MY lived experiences, MY perception) to pay attention AND be overly cautious while people watching, just plain and simple. But something ain’t right between the siblings The Family Chantel (in my Pedro voice).

But forreal though, ya’ll ain’t peep that where Chantel caressed her brother lower back?? Or that time they hugged after her wedding in the park. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? Now I ain’t implyin that someone is lyin, but I also know I am not Boo Boo the Fool if you catch my drift. I can’t stand this show, but I also can’t stop watching it. It is so addicting, and I think it’s Pedro’s accent. It keeps you drawn in because I always want to know what he is about to say. Especially if he is talking to his family to see if he is going to actually say what was said or something different. It is so contradictory like he is telling his family things, she is telling her family thing while both of them say don’t say anything…WHAT! They are both doing damage to their marriage.

It is like both sides intended to just see each other and be rude and disrespectful. Just eat the food even if it is a baby size spoonful. I am sure if Pedro came to their house and didn’t want to eat the food it would be a big ole’ thing. Now the we just ate thing may have worked if they hadn’t drove 6 hours to get there. She know she hungry!

Pedro said BULLSHIT, he is not foolin with Karen’s shit today. He said lies immediately and who does not get hungry in 6 hours? I start to recognize I am hungry at hour 4, by 5 I am like it is coming up on time to get some food, by 6 I am baby hangry, now don’t let me get to 8. Whereas, the other half of this Samantha and Carl duo can go three days without eating and won’t be baby hangry till hour 83 no exaggeration.

Moral of this rant is.. we gone keep watching!
